Day Trip: Grand Haven
Ah, summer. It never comes fast enough, and then you blink and school is starting again. I guess it's true that time flies when you're having fun, but really, it flies no matter what. Slipping away like a sunset on the shores of Lake Michigan. The whole team is trying to squeeze in last minute fun before the cold weather creeps in. We wont lie, we love the cool crispness of fall, but there's just something about the end of summer than makes you think, "But I didn't go to all those places yet!"
With that in mind we're starting a new series on the blog called Day Trips. We'll have our whole team jumping in on this one from time to time, and I can't wait.
First up, a Michigan staple: Grand Haven. At just about 50 minutes west of Grand Rapids, this little town offers everything you need to have a successful day trip. Food, entertainment and a beautiful beach. If sand isn't your thing, have no fear! The pier is well maintained and will give you a gorgeous view of the sunset without having to wade through the water or sand.
